Covid 19 Guests Instructions
As you can imagine there has been a lot of guidance to support the re-opening of our cottages, as with all leisure premises. We now believe that we can offer a safe and enjoyable environment here on Exmoor if we all follow the Government’s guidelines.
Before Your Arrival
Please note we can only accept guests with No Covid symptoms at the time of arrival
Please do not travel to the Cutthorne if you or any of your party are showing any symptoms of the virus or are under any form of self-isolation mandate.
Some local shops, pubs and restaurants are open, but as yet we are not clear how pubs and restaurants will be managing bookings. It would be advisable to ring ahead if you have a particular favourite.
We are aiming to maintain a 24 hours gap between bookings to minimise the risk of onward infection to both us and you.
We will endeavour to supply sufficient cleaning materials but we cannot provide any PPE. We recommend you bring your own supplies of hand sanitiser, masks and gloves.
The cottages will be prepared in accordance with guidance from the Professional Association of Self-caterers and Government advice but should you prefer to bring your own bed linen, towels etc let us know and we will remove the cottage supplies.
During Your Stay
We would ask that you stick to agreed arrival/departure times so that we can stagger them between cottages if required. Please adhere to Social Distancing protocols with fellow guests and hosts.
Please wear face masks during the ‘meet and greet’ to align with current advice. We will also conduct a temperature check of all your party on arrival and departure with a non-contact IR Thermometer for our mutual assurance. If you have been vaccinated, we would be grateful if you would let us know.
You are most welcome to enjoy the fields and lakes but we do ask that you use gloves or other coverings when using gates and stiles.
The bottom yard car park has ample room to meet social distancing measures. On arrival we will aim to meet you and explain the cottage layout and facilities to you and update you on any local restrictions in place.
Should anybody in your party show symptoms of the virus during your stay you must inform us immediately and book a test. As far as we know the nearest testing facilities are in Minehead or Dulverton.
In the event of a positive test the choice as to remaining on site or returning home will be made by mutual agreement, but current recommendations are that you should return home if you are well enough to do so. There will be additional charges should you require to extend your planned stay.
We would appreciate it if you would continue to sanitise the cottage during your stay to minimise any ongoing risk of infection, in particular regularly used surfaces such as banisters, switches and work tops.
Please inform us of any spillages or accidents if/when they happen so we can clean /replace/launder items immediately.
On Departure
We would be grateful if you would strip all beds that have been used and put sheets and outer pillow cases on the beds to air (leaving pillow and mattress covers in place). Damp towels and tea towels should be left in situ to dry. We do all the laundry here so this will minimise the need for direct contact and the risk of infection to us after your departure.
Please open all windows and leave them open to allow the cottage to air fully.
You are required to complete the post visit Contact Form as part of the Government’s Track and Trace initiative. Should you or any of your party show symptoms of the virus within 14 days of departure please let us know so we can assess if we need to restrict any imminent bookings.
