The Shippon was formerly a cowshed and is approached from the cobbled yard by a rustic stone staircase. Entrance is through a stable door into a new shaker style kitchen with dishwasher and electric cooker through into and cottage style lounge/diner with picture window onto the ornamental duck pond. The ceilings are heavily beamed throughout. There is a new central heating system which will keep you warm and cosy with unlimited hot water. There is a private garden 30 metres from the cottage with table and chairs and wonderful views down our valley to the Brendon Hills.
You are most welcome to walk in the fields across the farm, we will let you know where we have livestock when you arrive.
We spent a lovely weekend at Chris and Freya’s charming, spacious and tastefully decorated place. They were friendly, informative and responsive hosts. We were warm and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. It’s in a perfect “get away from it all” location .

Description
The main living area of the cottage is open plan, entered through a stable door into the galley kitchen (fully refitted in 2017), fitted with an electric cooker with ceramic hob and fan oven, microwave, fridge and a wide range of cooking equipment. There is a dining table and chairs for 4 people. The sitting area has a wood burning stove, sofa and chairs with TV, DVD player and DAB Radio. We provide the first basket of logs, refills are priced at £6/basket. Full Fibre WiFi has arrived on Exmoor and is provided throughout the cottage and is now fast enough to host most online services, WiFi calling etc! There are 2 bedrooms, the double has a king size bed and the twin two 3 foot beds. A travel cot and high chair can be provided, please book them when you make your reservation to ensure availability. Towels, bedding (except for cots), tea towels, washing up liquid and hand soap are included in the rental price. Eggs and seasonal produce can be purchased from the owners.
