The Shippon was formerly a cowshed and is approached from the cobbled yard by a rustic stone staircase. Entrance is through a stable door into a new shaker style kitchen with dishwasher and electric cooker through into and cottage style lounge/diner with picture window onto the ornamental duck pond. The ceilings are heavily beamed throughout. There is a new central heating system which will keep you warm and cosy with unlimited hot water. There is a private garden 30 metres from the cottage with table and chairs and wonderful views down our valley to the Brendon Hills.
You are most welcome to walk in the fields across the farm, we will let you know where we have livestock when you arrive.
A calm, clean and cozy cottage for all the family! It was so nice to walk in the beautiful garden and our 5 year old daughter really liked to watch all the animals around the farm. In the evenings, we enjoyed spending time all together in front of a warm fireplace while it was raining and cold outside. We keep such great memories of our stay at the cottage. Definitely worth booking! A fantastic location to explore the surrounding region and the accomodation is extremely comfortable and cosy. Everything you could want, couldn’t recommend more highly“

Description
The main living area of the cottage is open plan, entered through a stable door into the galley kitchen (fully refitted in 2017), fitted with an electric cooker with ceramic hob and fan oven, microwave, fridge and a wide range of cooking equipment. There is a dining table and chairs for 4 people. The sitting area has a wood burning stove, sofa and chairs with TV, DVD player and DAB Radio. We provide the first basket of logs, refills are priced at £6/basket. WiFi is provided throughout the cottage but please be warned Exmoor Broadband is not quite ‘super fast’ as yet! There are 2 bedrooms, the double has a king size bed and the twin two 3 foot beds. A travel cot and high chair can be provided, please book them when you make your reservation to ensure availability. Towels, bedding (except for cots), tea towels, washing up liquid and hand soap are included in the rental price. Eggs and seasonal produce can be purchased from the owners.
